Jim's sculpture is coming along well. The figure is made of bronze. He carved the egg in Styrofoam, which I used as the pattern to cast it in glass.

The Big EGG is going to be part of a sculpture called "Precious" by Jim Garrison which will be entered into ART PRIZE 2011 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Jim is working hard on the bronze sculpture, while I am working on the glass egg. Here is the Big EGG coming out of the Kiln after a month of annealing. It weighs about 65 pounds. The next step is to finish removing the plaster/silica mold ( The white stuff).

Then on to finishing the surface.....
